If you've ever chatted with John about knives, you'll know he's got lots of opinions. The one piece from his kit he always reaches for is this Shun 7" santoku. Its well balanced, razor sharp, super comfortable in the hand, and big enough for all but the most massive jobs.
John's favorite cookware, a 12.5" Blackcube nonstick frying pan. Super duper nonstick, but tough enough to use metal tools on, scrub the hell out of, and keep the stir fries coming. Don't buy cookware you have to baby, buy cookware you can thrash and still have forever.
It's John's turn! He's got a lot of favorites, but one thats been getting a lot of use recently is this Lodge double sided griddle. Ridged on one side, flat on the other, slap it over two burners and you can do anything. Pancakes & eggs, grilled potatoes and veg, skies the limit!
Rounding out Lisa's favs is a classic. The Lodge enameled dutch oven. This do it all piece of cookware will last a lifetime and provide endless deliciousness, from fresh bread to long simmered stews. Just imagine one sitting on your stove top, yeah, it belongs there.
Its Lisa's turn! Here are a few of her favorite things! Next up we have these Stasher silicone reusable storage bags. Dishwasher safe, hell, even oven & sous vide safe! Waste not, and never buy ziplocs again! (fun color choices a plus and a must, as far as we're concerned)
Its Lisa's turn! Here are a few of her favorite things!
Topping the list are the incomparable Zojirushi insulated bottles, hot, cold, it don't matter, these bottles do it all, never leak, and look damn stylish. The ultimate travel mug? We wouldn't be so bold, but Lisa might!
Wow! Thank you so much to Boston Magazine and all the incredible humans who help us be who we are for voting us #BestOfBoston best kitchenware for 2019! Nothing is more rewarding than working hard to have a fun funky store and be recognized for it. Thank you, from all of us. ❤️
Kitchenwitch is taking the 4th off to do a little swimming, a little grilling, and kick back and watch some fireworks. We'll be back and open regular hours on the 5th, and back to our regular social media schedule next week! So much exciting stuff to share! Happy Fourth of July!
Rounding out the week with Cat's favorites, we've got a two-fer! This cat pot mitt and cat trivet are just about as adorable as can be, but make no sacrifices in quality and usefulness for it. Try placing your rippin hot cast iron on a boring trivet and you'll get it. Trust us.
A mortar and pestle might seem like the obvious choice for such a witchy one, but Cat's got more than just a vibe going on. From muddling fresh herbs for cocktails, to small batches of guac or pesto, to custom spice blends, a classic mortar and pestle is indispensable.
We're seriously leaning in hard to the witch side of Kitchenwitch this week, but Cat loves what she loves! More glass vessels for various delicious recipes, and some of our long burning and dripless candles (to match her hair, obviously)!
Witchy as any of us, Cat loves to make her own potions, tinctures, syrups, and all manner of delicious delectables. Whats a classier vessel for such home made wonders as this wine decanter with cork stopper?
We had so much fun with Ann's top 5 we figured lets do the whole staff! Here's the newest witch, Cat, and her first favorite item, this beautiful hand painted drink dispenser. The sun is finally here and its time for iced tea, punch, or maybe just some lemon water!
Closing out the week, and ending Ann's favorite items in the store is this iconic Beehouse teapot. It survived the brief stay on her tousled head and took its place as one of the first things many see when they come in the store. Ann, we wish you the best! Thanks for everything.
Ann's favorite bowls! We have so many to choose from, but she rushed right over and grabbed these two from Kinto, no hesitation. Our bowl selection is massive, but most people find themselves drawn to some more than others, the palette and patterns on these are undeniably fun.
These gorgeous wooden trays are one of Ann's favorites. She doesn't have one, yet at least, because "I'm not adult enough". No judgement, but there is no age limit on a funky and eco friendly tray.
Our beloved employee, Ann, is leaving us to go to art school, and we thought a proper sendoff was in order. This week we'll be sharing her favorite items in the store. First up is this cat creamer, the first thing she bought her first week working for us!
Never too early to start thinking about picnics, taking your lunch break outside, or even camp supplies for the kiddos. Kitchenwitch has all you could ever need to eat fun and in style, whether you're teething or having an unpronounceable cheese with your love by Jamaica Pond.
Its May! The skies may be grey and glum but spring is in full effect and summer is just around the corner. Looking to bring some fun, whimsy, and especially color into your life? How about some new plates and bowls? We've been getting tons of new designs in, come check us out!
If you haven't discovered the craze that is Vicki Sawyer and her fabulous illustrations, have we got plates for you. We can barely keep these in stock, but just got a huge new shipment in! Plates, mugs, paper napkins, matches, and coasters, we've got it all! Come n get it 💞💞
