Looking forward to meeting you! - Rose & John & Cat
Have you ever been to @curiospice ? Its an absolutely incredible curated artisnal spice shop in Cambridge, and now Kitchenwitch is stocking our favorite spice mixes from them! We've got little testers for you to sniff, and some first hand experience with them, so come by for a whiff and ideas on how to use these uniquely delicious little tins of sustainably produced, direct sourced, fair trade spices.
Feel that Autumn breeze? Smell that in the air? Its baking season. Roasted vegetables, lasagna, apple pies, cakes of all sorts, and to decorate, every conceivable sprinkle, candle, colored sugar, even a candelabra. Get wild. Get that oven warmed up. Come see us. #jamaicaplain #shoplocal #cupcakecrazy #sprinklesonyourrootvegetables?
Theres a lot happening in our knife case, not the least of which is that it'll soon be one of a pair. Henckles, Miyabi, Lamson, Shun, Global, Wusthof, R Murphy, and more in one place, incredible knives at a wide variety of price points.
Have you been by recently? It might only be September, but between back to school and early holiday buying on our part the store is looking particularly fabulous. Lynette is sporting a new outfit and we're super excited about so many new items! You'll be seeing them on here soon, we just can't not show you all!
Hey! Did we not feature your favorite thing in the shop? Wanna see yourself up on our social media? Come by the store Tuesday-Fridays and let us take your photo with your favorite item!
We've come to the end of a strange journey, and no better way to finish than with a strange item. Rose adores these penguin insulated carafes. Kitschy with a capital K, these adorable little pals will keep 34oz of your fav beverage ice cold or piping hot, what else could need?
When asked for her ultimate final top best favorite in the whole wide store, Roxie grabbed three things, maximalism lives! Trust us, & Roxie, when we say these Takeya water bottles are the truth. The cat sake bottle is maybe not the most age apropro here, but definitely cute, no?
No offense to Dunkin, but Kitchenwitch runs on coffee brewed at home, fresh ground, and never has coffee been ground so stylishly than in the Bodum Bistro burr grinder, Rose wants you to know that the best color choice is red, bar none.
If you've ever been in Kitchenwitch you might get the sense that we're cat people, and Roxie, despite being an unofficial employee, is no exception. We have precious few left of these beautiful Japanese ceramic cat plates, so run, don't walk, if you want one. (We'll get more!)
You didn't forget we were doing Rose's favs, didja? More melamine madness ensues with these quirky, colorful, and truly wild little snack plates. Very aesthetic. Too many designs to safely fit on one arm, so you'll have to come in and see them all!
Really showing off how good your noggin can serve for showcasing kitchen supplies, Roxie's back at it again with her second favorite, these silicone sponges are dishwasher safe, safe for nonstick cookware, and have to be felt to understand how satisfying it is to hold one. Trust.
Turns out Roxie has lots of opinions of her own, she especially loves these silicone basting brushes, a color for every day of the week, in a world where weeks have four days. Still, a pretty good assortment we'd say, Roxie would agree.
World, you met Rose, now meet Roxie, together these two are modeling these fabulously useful Rosti Mepal melamine mixing bowls. A non slip base keeps them stable on your counter or the head of a patient 7 year old.
Y'all ready for this? We've got the boss! Rose has her favorites, and you know they're the b e s t because Rose picks every last item that ends up in the store. Stick around this & next week for some special picks. Starting off are these incredible Garnier Thiebaut tea towels! 💞
John's last favorite item in the store! All these clocks are awesome, but the goldenrod one takes his top spot, from keeping track of something baking in the oven to letting him know he's gonna be late to work, its a beautiful clock, and at the end of the day do you need more?
A little precarious, but we'll allow it. We stock an incredible selection of ceramic bowls, but these beauties from Miya are John's top picks. The big ones serve dinner damn near every night, little ones for prep, sauces, or ice cream come in handy all the time.
If you've ever chatted with John about knives, you'll know he's got lots of opinions. The one piece from his kit he always reaches for is this Shun 7" santoku. Its well balanced, razor sharp, super comfortable in the hand, and big enough for all but the most massive jobs.
John's favorite cookware, a 12.5" Blackcube nonstick frying pan. Super duper nonstick, but tough enough to use metal tools on, scrub the hell out of, and keep the stir fries coming. Don't buy cookware you have to baby, buy cookware you can thrash and still have forever.
